James began his education career at the U.S. Naval Academy majoring in Oceanography. He then went on to George Washington University to become a certified Unix Engineer. James holds a FINRA Series 7 & Series 66 securities registrations, in addition to Life and Health insurance licenses.
While serving in the military, James noticed that many of his fellow peers lacked vital financial skills. Wanting to help them succeed, James discovered his passion for coaching people by helping his peers make smart & sound life and financial decisions. By 2007, he obtained his FINRA securities registrations & insurance licenses and was hired by Merrill Lynch. Now at Kinnect Advisors, he is excited to continue helping families and individuals succeed with holistic financial guidance to bring his clients independence and peace of mind.
While out of the office, James enjoys spending time with his family and attending his sons’ sporting events. When not coaching his clients through financial decisions, he enjoys coaching his son’s baseball and football teams. Helping the community is an integral part to James’ philosophy, that why he has volunteered his time to teach disabled children how to swim & coaching children at the Special Olympics.
